Auction Terms

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms apply to every bid placed on powerhouseart.com. By confirming your email and placing a bid, you agree to them. “We” and “us” mean PowerHouse Art.

1. Limited editions

  • Each collection piece is printed in a numbered edition of no more than 100.
  • Prints are sold in number order. Each auction offers the lowest number that hasn't been sold, so the first buyer receives No. 1, the next No. 2, and so on.
  • Once a number is sold it is never offered for sale again.
  • Sizes rotate from one auction to the next between 12 × 16, 18 × 24 and 24 × 36 inches. The size and number up for bid are shown in each auction.

2. Daily auctions

  • One print of each piece is auctioned per day. Bidding starts at $25.
  • Every auction closes at 9:00 PM Central Time. Closing is firm: there are no extensions for late bids, and the time kept by our server decides whether a bid arrived in time.
  • The next auction opens right after the previous one closes.
  • If an auction receives no bids, the same number is offered again in the next auction, in the next size.

3. Bidding

  • To bid, you must be at least 18 and confirm your email address with a one-time code. You're responsible for bids placed while signed in on your device.
  • Bids are in whole U.S. dollars, from the starting bid up to $9,999. Each bid must be higher than the current high bid.
  • Every bid is a binding offer to buy the print at that price if it wins. Bids can't be withdrawn once placed, so please check the amount on the confirmation step.
  • We show the current high bid and the number of bids. Bidders' names and emails are never shown to other bidders.
  • We may reject bids or cancel an auction in the case of an obvious error, a technical fault, or bidding we believe is fraudulent or made in bad faith.

4. Winning and payment

  • The highest bid when the auction closes wins.
  • The winner receives an email with a private payment link and has 48 hours from when it is sent to pay. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
  • If the winner doesn't pay in time, the sale is cancelled and the print is offered to the next-highest bidder at their own bid, with the same 48 hours to pay.
  • If neither pays, the number returns to the auction and is offered again before any higher number.
  • We may decline future bids from anyone who wins and doesn't pay.

5. Price, shipping and sales tax

  • Bids don't include shipping or sales tax. The amount you pay is your winning bid, plus shipping, plus any sales tax that applies.
  • Shipping is a flat rate for the print's size and destination region (United States, Canada, or International), shown on the payment page before you pay.
  • Sales tax is calculated at checkout from the shipping address, where we're required to collect it.
  • International buyers are responsible for any import duties, customs fees or taxes charged by their country on delivery.

6. Shipping and delivery

  • Prints ship after payment, and we'll email you when yours is on its way.
  • If a print arrives damaged, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the print and packaging. We'll either replace it with a print of the same number and size, once the damaged one is returned or destroyed, or refund what you paid.

7. All sales final

Because every print is numbered and sold once, sales are final except for prints damaged in transit as described above.

8. Artwork and copyright

Buying a print gives you ownership of that physical print. PowerHouse Art keeps all copyright in the artwork, and prints may not be reproduced.

9. Your information

We use your name and email to run the auctions: sign-in codes, winning notices, payment links and shipping updates. Shipping addresses and payment details are collected by Stripe at checkout. We don't sell your information.

10. Changes and governing law

  • We may update these terms. Changes apply to auctions that open after the update; the terms in place when an auction opened apply to it.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
